Description
Matched pair of Art Deco revival drop earrings, each comprising a diamond-shaped marcasite-set stud top suspending a scroll-and-bow bridge, below which hangs a pointed oval pendant frame pavé-set with pyrite marcasites enclosing a bezel-set faceted pear-cut amethyst of light to medium violet hue. Post-and-butterfly back fittings are visible. Construction, milgrain detailing, and marcasite application are consistent with sterling silver manufacture typical of 20th-century Art Deco revival production, most likely of Asian or Eastern European origin. No hallmark is legible in the provided photographs.
