Mercury Dime (1916-1945)
Description
1935 Winged Liberty Head (Mercury) Dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse displays the left-facing Liberty with winged cap, date 1935, and IN GOD WE TRUST inscription. The reverse shows the fasces and olive branch design with ONE DIME and E PLURIBUS UNUM. This is a standard business strike. No mint mark is visible to the left of the fasces on the reverse, consistent with Philadelphia production. Mintage for 1935-P was 58,830,000, making it a common date.
