Description
Sterling silver bookmark manufactured by Duchin Creation, a mid-20th-century New York silversmith known for novelty and gift silver items. The piece features a tapered spring-clip blade with two small rivet holes and a circular medallion top displaying a raised cursive monogram, possibly the letter 'L' or a stylized script initial, set within concentric raised rings in a wax-seal motif. The reverse of the medallion is stamped 'STERLING by Duchin,' confirming 925 silver content. Overall form, construction, and maker's mark are consistent with production circa 1940s to 1960s.
